The purpose of this event is to support SPSY’s mission to bring to light the roots and ripple effects of racial inequities in education and society at large. Dr. Charles Barrett is a renowned BIPOC school psychologist, author, musician, speaker, and teacher who has lived the impact of the myth of a post-racial American Society. Dr. Barrett offers a distinct view of ways aspiring school psychologists can embody the principles of social justice in their day to day work in order to advance equity. Students will acquire critical perspectives on racial justice and tangible tools to implement into their current and future practice.
