CAP is bringing the employers to you! A couple of times a month, we will host an employer in the 2nd Floor Lobby of the CU Denver Building for you to learn more about organizations that hire from CAP degree programs. This is a great way for you to (1) learn about career opportunities in your field, (2) get to know new organizations, and (3) make connections that could lead to future employment!

What do I do at the Employer Spotlight?

Swing by for a few minutes to chat with the representatives at the employer's table. Pick up any handouts they are sharing. Ask any questions you want! This is a casual, informal, drop-by event, but we recommend you do a little research in advance so you don't just ask, "What does your company do?"

 

WHAT QUESTIONS SHOULD I ASK EMPLOYERS?
Consider asking about things you truly want to know: What skills do they look for? Do they offer an internship program? How are their project teams structured? What is the company’s culture like? And more! Google can help you come up with so many more, but don’t waste their time asking questions you don’t care about.
