We will be having a panel discussion with Kalen Acquisto and Beth Birchfield regarding entrepreneurship and starting your own business. 

Kalen is one of the directors of Denver Angel's, a private investment group that supports start-ups throughout Colorado! She will be joining Women in Business to discuss resources in Colorado for entrepreneurs and the steps to starting your own business. Our other panelist for the evening, Beth Birchfield is currently the co-founder and Chief Sustainability Officer for Remark, a sustainabile business feedback app and the Board Chair for Women in Sustainability.

Kalen is an entrepreneurial community builder and a natural connector with a deep passion for sustainable economic growth in her hometown of Denver. Kalen is a Director of Denver Angels Investing and has supported entrepreneurs and economic development efforts for over a decade by directing The Commons on Champa with Downtown Denver Partnership, working as a Program Manager at El Pomar Foundation, and running a startup in New Zealand for a few years. Kalen also is the founder of Kalen Jesse Photography and specializes in business and personal branding photography. Kalen has an MBA, Entrepreneurship candidate at CU Denver. 

Beth is currently co-founder and Chief Sustainability Officer for Remark and the Board Chair for Women in Sustainability. Her tech and hospitality industry experience laid a foundation for understanding the interactions between people, markets, governments, and the environment. As a certified corporate coach with an academic background in economics and women’s studies, Beth facilitates structural and cultural transformation to empower people and organizations to enact sustainable change.
