What does it take to build safer, more supportive communities where young people can thrive?
Join us for an interactive conversation about youth housing, community-engaged research, and the relationship between research and practice.
The conversation builds on a recently completed University of Colorado grant project led by Dr. Annie Miller, focused on developing youth housing in Denver through Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) practices.
Rather than a traditional lecture or panel, this event will use a World Café-style format, with participants moving through small-group conversations facilitated by researchers, students, practitioners, and community partners.
Together, we’ll explore questions around:
- Youth housing access and policy
- Partnerships between academia and community practice
- Housing, youth, and the criminal justice system
No research or policy background is required. We welcome community members, young people, students, practitioners, researchers, service providers, advocates, and community organizations to bring their experiences, questions, and perspectives to the conversation.
Help shape the conversation
Registration is encouraged but not required. Registering helps us plan for the number of participants and learn more about the questions and perspectives people are bringing to the conversation.
When you register, you’ll have the opportunity to share a question, experience, or topic you’d like to explore. These responses will help inform the small-group discussions.
Walk-ins are welcome.
Come ready to listen, learn, share, question, and connect.
