The Auraria Library was designed by internationally recognized architect Helmut Jahn and first opened in 1976. Today, the library is the intellectual home to nearly 45,000 students in 180,000 square feet of space. The Auraria Library welcomes over 900,000 visitors each year and contains nearly 300 databases in a multitude of disciplines. The library’s first floor is dedicated to collaborative learning and research, while the second floor is devoted to quiet study and collections. This is a shared space for the Auraria Campus.
